Zicari carried his confrontational adult-film persona into professional wrestling when he and Tom Byron founded the XPW promotion in 1999. Appearing as owner and as the villainous manager Rob Black, he built a “Black Army” stable around figures including John Kronus, Terry Funk, Abdullah the Butcher, and Juventud Guerrera.
